Poems by Iaia Cheisa (author)
A collection of poems on love, loss and old age.
" A sincere and warm human being. Speaking what she thinks, writing what she feels and walking the words into poetry." Glenn Bard

"........the competence and excellence that Iaia has achieved in her adopted ‘mother-tongue' attests to the humanity that transcends and transforms the restrictions we are born with, indeed the ‘burdens' she has carried have become the sensitive delights that bless us through her poetry........" About the Author
Iaia Chiesa, a poet and an artist, was born in Italy in 1953, where she studied art and art history. She moved to London, England, in 1981, to study English and English literature. She met Paola there and they lived together for thirty-five years, as wife and wife when it became legally possible, until Paola's death in 2019. Iaia's interest in literature started when exploring her father's and godmother's extensive libraries, and her love of poetry goes back to her teenage years, when she discovered Jacques Prévert, Pablo Neruda, Evgeni Evtushenko, Kurt Tucholsky, Cesare Pavese, Dylan Thomas and many others, mainly European and Russian poets and authors. She lives in London.
