Erika Zagar (Author), translated by Evelina and Marcus Ferrar
Young Peter, who became a hero for rescuing a baby dolphin in Part 1, now faces a sterner challenge – he is entrusted by Poseidon, King of the Underwater World, with saving lakes, rivers and forests from pollution which threatens the whole planet. Peter has the magical power to transfigure – so he can breathe on land and underwater.
As he sets off, the Fairy Queen Thiana transports him through the skies deep down into an Emerald Lake, whose waters once had healing powers but is now terribly contaminated by humans. There he meets the Lady of the Lake, and discovers the catastrophe which has struck: a human being has stolen the magic crystal which gave the waters power to regenerate and heal. And the Knights guarding the crystal have been sent into a deep slumber.
Peter sets off to find the crystal, helped by all kinds of magical creatures such as an old man with a long white beard who is Guardian of the Forests. After a long struggle through the woods and up a mountain, nursing a wounded leg and following a gleaming light, he comes upon a white mansion … where his mission is crowned with success, and the Knights can finally re-awake.
Helping him are new friends he comes across on land, as well as old friends from under the seas, including the gentle Amara, whose soothing singing has healing powers. Join Peter on a hero’s journey through swirling whirlpools, shimmering white lights and amazing underwater landscapes.
