Rudolf Steiner's Spiritual Science.

Robert Chamberlain (author)

This book is particularly for those who have come across Steiner’s ideas, online, in books, from other people, or have seen how well they work in practice, - in schools, farms and clinics, - and want to explore them more in depth. Through analogies, diagrams, poetry, and contemplative observation, it aims to appeal to our powers of reason as well as to our deepest feelings – hence the title, ‘Heartlogic’. It addresses such subjects as, Why we are here. Leading a more creative and flourishing life. Our relationship to Nature and the world of the Spirit?  The changes in consciousness we go through in one life and in our many lives, in different cultures. The meaning of our experiences after death. A contemporary account of karma. The deep inner connections between the different religions. Good and evil. Envisioning a more humane and just society. Meditation.

About the Author

After graduating in philosophy and politics in the sixties, Robert worked abroad for a year teaching English as a foreign language, and then in London for three years. After discovering the work of Rudolf Steiner, he attended Emerson College, which is based on his ideas, specialising in speech and drama in the second year. Then he found his life work, running Tintagel House and the Merlin Theatre in Sheffield, which was then a community arts and education centre inspired by Anthroposophy. His work mainly involved directing a community theatre group, programming events, and giving introductory courses on Steiner’s philosophy, some under the auspices of Sheffield University’s Division of Continuing Education. He now lives in Leeds and is still involved in drama and sharing his love and knowledge of Steiner’s work.
